Eat that frog🐸
Seek discomfort

It was american writer and humorist Mark Twain who once said:
If you have to eat a live frog, do it first thing in the morning and nothing worse will happen to you for the rest of the day.
The eat the frog method has been widely popularized as a priorization and productivity method and it serves as a perfect example of how productivity should be tackled.
One of productivity´s biggest enemies is time management. A tool so basic yet so rare, capable of changing entirely the way we live, and still remains a skill rarely found amongst most individuals.
Priorization happens everday whether it is consciously or unconsciously. As minutes go by, we´re constantly making decisions which serve as tokens to the person we´re becoming.
So, it´s not a matter of should we prioritize? But rather, what are we prioritizing?
By spending time on our phones we are actively prioritizing leisure over anything else.
By eating junk food we´re prioritizing feeling good over our own health.
By watching netflix we´re prioritizing comfort over quality time with our loved ones.
Priorization plays a massive roles on our day-to-day and the more we make conscious choices on what to prioritize, the better we´ll be.
Eating the frog technique states that we must tackle the hardest tasks first.
Why?
For most of us, the morning is the time where we´re most likely to do something since our energy levels are at the highest. Also, according to several academics, willpower decreases throughout the day, so tackling difficult tasks first is a strategic approach.
So take your time to prioritize all of your tasks on your to-do list. Place the hardest ones first and allow yourself to have a relaxed afternoon by putting the easiest ones at last.
And if you´re looking for an app for it, I recommend Tick Tick. It´s a great app for note taking and prioritizing!
