Success is the product of daily habits—not once-in-a-lifetime transformations - James Clear

This week I´ve been pondering on the power of habits as I´ve been revisiting James Clear´s Atomic Habits.
Though it´s safe to say that we all acknowledge the sheer power of repeated actions (habits), how often do we take time to evaluate all of our habits, good and bad?
It´s clear how powerfull they are, but we must also remember that when used incorrectly, they´re detrimental to our productivity and health.
How many habits do we have?

According to Emma Yound from the New Scientist Magazine, 95% of our brain´s daily activity is unconscious.
Can you imagine that!!!
Now don´t start panicking! this doesn´t mean that the conscious brain does nothing at all.
But this reveals how massive it´s the impact habits have on our daily lives. And if we wish to become our better selves, then it´s time for some introspection.
So this is my advice:
Goal setting: Habits are a leveraging power to get us where we want to be. That raises the question: Where are we headed?
The habit scorecard: Inspired by Japanese Railway Pointing and Calling system, it´s a ritual in which you analyze everything you go through the day and call if it´s something good or bad, in this case, it´s making a list about the habits you go through and labeling them as either good (+), bad (-), or neutral (=).
Work on your Habit Scorecard and ask yourself: Are they taking me where I want to be?Weekly review: There´s no burguer without the patty.
Inspired by productivity genious Thiago Forte, a weekly review is designed to give you just enough situational awareness to take effective action. Check your goals, habits, tasks, notes, everything. It´s the perfect time to review and correct course if necessary.
📜Quotes to start the week right:
"You do not rise to the level of your goals. You fall to the level of your systems."

Motivation is what gets you started. Habit is what keeps you going.
- Jim Ryun
“Watch your thoughts, they become your words; watch your words, they become your actions; watch your actions, they become your habits; watch your habits, they become your character; watch your character, it becomes your destiny.”
- Lao Tzu
