The power of silence

We’ve all got that temptation within us:

The urgen need to talk.

But what very few of us understand is that talking is in many ways, us feeding our egos. Fueling that false sense of security that we constantly build throughout the years hoping it’ll provide security and tranquility, when in reality is the reason we can’t achieve those things.

What we should rather understand is that doing great work is hard.

It’s draining, time-consuming, demoralizing and so much more.

Those who do great work rarely have the time to speak about it.

They’d rather have their own work speak for themselves.

Why?

Because their sense of security and worth comes from the inside, comes from knowing their doing their work and that’s enough, regardless of the outcome.

And when you are able to detach yourself from outside perspectives, that’s the moment you’re truly free.

So be smart about it.

Know that your time and energy is limited.

Do not waste it feeding your ego knowing it’ll bring nothing good.

Rather keep doing your work, and let time and success do the talking, not you.
