There´s no easy way
And there´s nothing you can do about it

In Wisdom Wednesday we take a look at information worth sharing with everyone as we dive into books, videos, podcasts and many other things that have drawn mi attention on the last week.
Enjoy!
📖Book of the week:
One thing is to hear about discipline from a productivity nerd, but it´s entirely different when you listen from a former US Navy Seal.
Being badass is one thing, but Jocko takes it to another level.
Think about the real version of Chuck Norris, but cooler.
Jocko Willink has served his country years, fighting abroad and involved in situations that even for nightmares might be too much.
Yet, he´s been able to retire and now coaches CEO´s and countless other people about the power of discipline.
And how does he do it?
Easy.
Just read his book.
He provides all the tips and strategies for living a disciplined life.
But, if you´re too lazy for it, here´s a summary:
The key to a successful, satisfying, productive life is discipline, which is self-perpetuating.
People should not wait for an opportune moment to establish a disciplined lifestyle. The best time to make a change is now.
Waking up early every day after a good night’s sleep helps promote a disciplined lifestyle.
Self-discipline is not a reservoir that can be tapped. Instead, it’s like a muscle that can be strengthened with training.
Discipline must be self-directed. It should rely more on commitment and belief than on encouragement from an external source.
The key to achieving an objective is to maintain focus and balance short-term wins with long-term goals.
Discipline requires a firm commitment to healthful eating. Addictive foods like sugar and flour must be forsaken.
Exercise improves energy levels and brain function.
📜Quotes of the week:
“Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn.”
- Benjamin Franklin
“Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.”
- Mahatma Gandhi
For the best return on your money, pour your purse into your head.”
- Benjamin Franklin
🛠️Learn something new:
If winners and loosers share the same goals, then what differentiates them?
Being positive and keeping your mental health high is not everything you need to succeed.
Neither is knowing where you´re headed.
Then, what makes a difference?
Our system.
The habits we have, our goals, our tracking methodology, eveything conforms our system.
The reason why we succeed or fail ultimately depends on the quality of our system.
So it´s not about habits, not just about goals, but everything that´s involved with it.
And how do you make a system strong?
You state a purpose for it
You divided it into different parts
You review it constantly (KPI´s)
That´s how you improve a system.
So next time you´re thinking about why you fail, maybe consider it´s not a part of it that fails, but your entire system.
