⏳Time is of the essence

The ultimate currency

In Wisdom Wednesday we take a look at information worth sharing with everyone as we dive into books, videos, podcasts and many other things that have drawn mi attention on the last week.

Enjoy!

Infinite

limitless or endless in space, extent, or size; impossible to measure or calculate

As humans, we find it so hard to process the idea of something being limited.

History has proven that we act as if there was no tomorrow, but every action has a consecuence and what we use today we´ll likely lack tomorrow.

So it should be clear by now that there´s no such thing as something being infinite.

“Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe.” - Albert Einstein

That being said, it´s essential we learn to manage every asset we have at our disposal, and for this email, we´ll look at time.

📖Book of the week:

"Time magnifies the margin between success and failure. It will multiply whatever you feed it." - James Clear

We are what we repeat.

Let that sink in…

Though this raises the question:

What have you been repeating?

James Clear has done the magnificent work of writing a book that provides a framework as clear as water and as reliable as a Toyota Hilux, for you to build the habits you wish and abandon those that damage you.

It´s an incredible book that shows with proof the atomic power of small habits compunded through time.

So wait no more!

This is a book you can´t say you haven´t read.

If you wish to take a look at my personal notes on the book, I´ll leave the link bellow!⬇️

📜Quotes of the week:

“Give me six hours to chop down a tree and I will spend the first four sharpening the axe.”

-Abraham Lincoln

“Don’t wait. The time will never be just right.”

-Napoleon Hill

“The secret of your future is hidden in your daily routine.”

-Mike Murdock

🛠️Learn something new:

By know, you should be aware that nothing in this world is infinte, specially our greatest asset:

TIME

We´ve all been allowed the same 24 hours throughout the day, no more, no less.

This means, whatever we do with them, it´s completely under our control.

Time management can truly be a super power, and I´m here to share with you a tool that I´m very fond of.

The beauty about time is that it´s an equalizer.

Money makes a difference, connections make a difference, education makes a difference, but we all have the same amount of time.

We´re all equally rich

But, this means you can´t add more hours in a day, so how can you do more with the same?

The key?

PRIORITIZING

Not every thing you need to do carries the same weight in terms of priority.

And I know, it´s hard to prioritize…but you can use this next time you schedule your daily tasks.

The Eissenhower Matrix

The Eisenhower Matrix is a productivity, prioritization, and time-management framework designed to help you prioritize a list of tasks or agenda items by first categorizing those items according to their urgency and importance.

President Dwight Eisenhower himself developed the concept behind what would later be called the Eisenhower Matrix. He used it to help him prioritize and deal with the many high-stakes issues he faced as a US Army general, then as Supreme Allied Commander of NATO Forces, and eventually as president of the United States.

So, make the most out of the Eissenhower Matrix. You´ll find more time throughout your day.
